[ One thing everyone eventually learns about La'an Noonien-Singh is that she's a stickler for regulations... until it comes to the safety of those she cares about. In some cases, it's a singular person who has made their indelible mark upon her, and at other times it's the entire crew of a ship depending on her to keep them safe. She hadn't been able to protect her family or any of the other colonists on the Puget Sound, so she dedicated her life to protecting others in whatever way necessary. Including, it seems, bending the laws of temporal mechanics.

It should seem ridiculous that she's so attached to this man after just a few short days together. It makes absolutely no sense... but it feels right. She has to hope her instincts aren't betraying her in that. ]
